Blanc was a project I did for a master's course called Design Archaeology. For this project, I was assigned a historical garment from the 1920s from the Museum at FIT's Graduate collection. I recreated this garment in Clo-3D with exact construction techniques and made a physical version of it as well. I then used this as inspiration to create a zero-waste ensemble, the pattern for which was tested in Clo-3D.
Through this project, I wanted to explore how digital archiving techniques using virtual fashion can help brands conserve archive pieces for easy access and study for newer collections.
